SCHULTE Lagertechnik is 2013 trade partner


The trade honours support from industry partners and awards family business from Germany's Sauerland region a place on the rostrum as one of the best trade partners of 2013

Sundern, Germany, 27.03.2014. Schulte Lagertechnik has been ranked as one of the best trade partners of 2013. The Sundern-based family business came third in this year's ranking in the equipment fitter category. The company was judged on aspects including loyalty to the trade, margins/marketing, sales support, product innovation and complaints handling. This is the third time Schulte Lagertechnik has received the award.

Held for the 14th time this year, the tools working group (AKW) of the German Central Association of Hardware Retailers (ZHH) in Düsseldorf has spent the past few weeks selecting its B2B partners. In the equipment fitters category, a total of 25 suppliers were included in the assessment. "Achieving a place on the rostrum against such strong competition is something that fills us with great pride," enthused Andrea Schulte, Managing Director of Schulte Lagertechnik, on accepting the award at this year's "Eisenwarenmesse" international hardware fair.

Schulte Lagertechnik sells its products exclusively via specialist retailers. Cooperation with partners, which starts right at the planning phase, has been continuously expanded over the years. They receive comprehensive support from the manufacturer's storage experts on how to analyse, plan and create a warehouse. Alongside proven tools such as Fabiola and Paletty which make preparing quotations easy, Schulte Lagertechnik also offers the pCon.planner planning software, which enables partners to design and calculate warehouses with great precision based on logistical and spatial conditions.

What's more, in the past year, the company has set up the Schulte Academy which offers a programme ensuring the intensive exchange of knowledge between manufacturers, the trade and customers. Located at the heart of the Sundern production site, 120 sqm of space kitted out with state-of-the-art conference technology is available for seminars, workshops and training courses. These facilities are then used to hold events on topics such as storage planning, DIN regulations and shelving inspection. One of the first sessions was an exclusive sales offensive for trade partners. This was devised and delivered by renowned sales trainer Dirk Kreuter and his team. The content of the two-day training courses for professionals in the trade included strategies for acquiring new customers, sales techniques and negotiation skills. "This latest award demonstrates that our loyalty to the trade is appreciated, but that personal dedication and regular activities need to be put in practice on a continual basis," explained Andrea Schulte at the event in Cologne.
