AGRAVIS Technik is the leading service and technology specialist in the field of agricultural engineering in eastern and northern Germany. AGRAVIS Technik Sachsen-Anhalt/ Brandenburg GmbH covers the entire area of Saxony-Anhalt. Here, 190 qualified employees ensure that the customers' agricultural machinery runs reliably. The AGRAVIS Technik-Gesellschaft's central spare parts warehouse is located in Köthen and operates nationwide.
Agricultural machines and vehicles operate under the very toughest conditions, and AGRAVIS customers cannot afford a breakdown.
In order to prevent one from occurring or end it quickly in an emergency, AGRAVIS takes care of the fast and reliable supply of spare parts to its customers from its Köthen location. These originate not only from the region, but to a large extent also from the countries of Eastern Europe to which AGRAVIS exports.
AGRAVIS invested in a new spare parts warehouse in order to increase performance in the spare parts business and to simplify and accelerate logistics processes. SCHULTE Lagertechnik was commissioned with the planning and implementation. Customer consultant and planning specialist Frank Bier, in close coordination with the customer, attached particular importance to short distances and fast processes.
As the stocks were to be concentrated from two halls into one, a two-storey system was chosen. Thanks to the clever combination of different shelf types from the SCHULTE storage technology portfolio, all parts are now clearly stored in the smallest space for quick access. The spectrum ranges from MULTIplus shelving for small and medium-sized parts to pallet shelving for long goods and large parts.
The highlight of the shelving system is the combination with conveyor technology. The orders are assembled in the warehouse and then transported via conveyor systems to the shipping department in the neighbouring hall. This saves walking distances and significantly accelerates the overall process. A further highlight, in addition to the corporate colour scheme (RAL 6018), is the lighting provided by energy-saving, motion-controlled LED light strips.
What was the customer most excited about by the end of the process? The clever planning, the saving of space, the impressive aesthetics of the system, the acceleration of processes through clarity and transparency in combination with the conveyor technology, the integration of a lockable area for expensive GPS parts, as well as the fast, smooth assembly by SCHULTE Lagertechnik including all of the subsections.
